Summer beauties

This is one of three gorgeous lipstick pink peonies from my little garden. I finally thinned the bush I had as it was getting too large for the space, and each of the remaining bushes is adapting well. There is nothing like the fragrance and color of peonies in early June.

Spring.......

Finally we are starting to warm up in northeast Pennsylvania (zone 5)! Cleaned up garden beds on Sunday and just enjoyed the 57 degree temp and sunny day. It was a big transition having just been in Georgetown, Guyana while teaching a spring service learning course on global health last week. The temps there were 85-90 with humidity between 85-100%. The Victoria regia lilies were gorgeous. Saw lots of orchids, cannas, and bougainvillea too.
